In what seems like the blink of an eye, remote work became commonplace with the Covid-19 pandemic. In the years since, we’ve heard organizations promise their employees that they’ll be staying remote moving forward… but many didn’t mean it.Â
In 2021, 37% of people were working from home. In 2024, that number has dropped to 15.2%. (Forbes)
This means that finding a remote job has become much more competitive. In a study done by Forbes, they found that only 9% of job postings are fully remote, but they’re attracting 18% of applicants.Â
